Fundamentals of Moving Image Cataloging

This two-part workshop will offer a foundation for moving image cataloging to participants from all library / technical services backgrounds. Part I will draw on the recently-published OLAC Unified Best Practices Guide to provide an overview of videodisc, videotape, streaming video resources topics including official RDA concepts and terminology related to moving image materials. Part II will consist of examples from best practices including complex work/part relationships, multilingual resources, and additional hybrid formats (continuing resources, video games, nonmusical sound recordings). Participants are encouraged to bring their own questions / examples for group exercise. Any level of experience is welcome.
